LAPD detectives were still working Friday to determine if the death of a woman on the 210 freeway was a murder.
Investigators said they had received a number of tips from the public that may help identify witnesses and evidence that could explain the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police said the woman’s body was reported around 1:00 a.m. Thursday morning near Polk St., and it appeared it had been struck by several vehicles.
At least caller told the CHP the woman was pushed or jumped from a red car. Investigators said the woman was alive when she left the vehicle.
