Lady Gaga goes under the knife for hip surgery

After cancelling the remaining dates of her Born This Way Ball tour due to a case of synovitis, or a severe inflammation of the joints, Lady Gaga has checked into the hospital for hip surgery, according to The Sun.

She tweeted: 

Going in for surgery now. Thank you so much for sending me love and support. I will be dreaming of you.

Although Lady G might not be able to walk for a while as she recovers, she's got a nice set of wheels to get her around - a wheelchair she's named "Emma."
