By all rights, Google sounds like a pretty awesome place to work for. The company was recently awarded the #1 spot on Fortune's Top 100 Companies to work for for the seventh time in ten years. With perks like three prepared organic meals a day, unlimited snacks, coffee, tea, to even free nap pods, Google regularly attracts top talent from around the world who want to work for the world's best company.
One 7-year-old in Herefordshire England thought those perks sounded pretty cool too, and at the encouragement of her father, Chloe Bridgewater sent Google's boss Sundar Pichai a letter about why she wanted to work there someday.
In the letter, she talked about how when she was bigger, she would like a job with Google because of how fun it sounded it to work there.
To be fair, Chloe listed some of her other ambitions (one of which was to work at a chocolate factory and swimming in the Olympics), but Google was her ultimate ambition. She wrote, "My dad told me to give you (an) application to get a job in Google. I don't really know what one of them is but he said a letter would do for now."
To Chloe's surprise, Sundar Pichai wrote back to her, thanking her for the letter. In his reply, he wrote, "I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to."
"I look forward to receiving your job application when you finish school."
