SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — Former mixed martial arts fighter Jason "Mayhem" Miller has been sentenced to three years of probation and 100 days in jail for a string of crimes stemming from multiple clashes with California law enforcement.
The 36-year-old was sentenced Wednesday after pleading guilty to nearly a dozen charges including assault on a peace officer, battery and resisting arrest.
As part of a plea bargain, Miller was given double credit for 50 days of time served, meaning he will not have to spend more time behind bars.
His attorney Cameron Talley tells the Orange County Register that Miller now has two strikes on his record and could face serious consequences if he violates probation. Talley says Miller is getting his life back on track.
Miller fought for several MMA organizations and was briefly a commentator for Fox Sports.
