A wealthy Northern California woman is posting one of the highest bails ever. Tiffany Li, suspected in the murder of her ex-boyfriend, has covered the $35 million bail with $62 million worth of property, as well as $4 million in cash that is being loaned to her by her parents and friends.
The bail is the eighth-highest set by any state court in U.S. history. When bail is paid by property assets, Redwood City requires the defendant to pay twice the original bail.
Li has been charged along with her current boyfriend for the murder of Keith Green, Li's ex-boyfriend whose body had been found in a ravine near Healdsburg.
Other suspects in the murder are still being held on no-bail holds and are awaiting trial.
