Canoga Park Man Injured After Motorcycle Stunt

Chalk this one up to poor decision making skills. A Canoga Park man was taken to the hospital in serious (but not life-threatening) condition after he attempted to jump railroad tracks near Simi Valley on his motorcycle on Sunday evening.

According to the Ventura County Star, a bystander was filming the event, planned by the 22-year-old injured man, when things did not go well for our would-be Evil Knievel.

The wannabe Super Dave Osborne was cited for a municipal code violation regarding off-road driving, and taken to Los Robles Hospital & Medical center.

Railroad traffic had to be stopped while police responded to the stunt gone wrong, but tracks were reopened by 6:15pm.

This isn't the first time someone has been injured trying to jump the tracks. Three months ago, another cyclist from San Clemente was critically injured after trying the same kind of stunt in the area.
