Zombie Dogs In Chicago

Chicago police are warning residents to not help infected coyotes that are roaming suburbs as they could sicken pets with disease.

The coyotes are being named "zombie dogs" due to their loss of hair and infected skin.

The Hanover Park Police Department posted their warning online, telling people that coyotes are normally nocturnal animals, but being infected with sarcoptic mange causes them to be active in the daytime.

While infected coyotes aren't usually aggressive, residents are warned to avoid them and keep them away from house pets who can easily be infected with the disease.
