According to the Daily Breeze, three suspects have been arrested for stealing bicycles in the northern and western portions of Torrance.
Two of the suspects, James Gideon, 29, and Samantha Morgan, 23, were arrested in early July. The third suspect, however, was 39-year old Billy Yeager, who already was in custody for an unrelated case.
“Investigators learned the suspects quickly dismantled most of the bicycles they stole then reassembled them beyond initial recognition,” Sgt. Ronald Harris of the Torrance Police Department said in a release.
The suspects were known to frequent apartment complexes to commit their crimes. Residents assisted authorities in finding the thieves by providing video surveillance.
