New `Star Wars' Film Means Extended Closure of Hollywood Blvd

HOLLYWOOD (CNS) - Navigating through Hollywood will be more difficult than usual this week, thanks to the closure of a stretch of Hollywood Boulevard to accommodate the red-carpet premiere of ``Solo: A Star Wars Story.'

'The much-anticipated premiere of the latest ``Star Wars'' installment, starring such celebs as Paul Bettany, Thandie Newton, Donald Glover, Woody Harrelson and Jon Favreau, is scheduled for Thursday night.

The premiere is so big that it's being held in three theaters -- the El Capitan, the TCL Chinese and the Dolby. To accommodate the event, Hollywood Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Highland Avenue and Orange Drive until 10 a.m. Friday.

Motorists were being advised to avoid the area if at all possible, and to seek alternate routes.
