Southland Gas Prices Drop Again

 LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped today for the third consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.755.

The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, but 7.5 cents higher than one month ago and 70.3 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 60.5 cents since the start of the year.

The average price dropped one-tenth of a cent on Tuesday and two- tenths of a cent on Wednesday.

The Orange County average price dropped today for the fifth consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $3.713. It is 1.5 cents less than one week ago, but 7.4 cents more than one month ago and 67.7 cents higher than one year ago. It has risen 59.7 cents since the start of the year.

The average price dropped four-tenths of a cent on Wednesday and two- tenths of a cent daily from Sunday through Tuesday.
