Homeless Services in L.A. Are Expanding

New services for homeless people have been approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. On Tuesday, the supervisors looked into areas where the city of Los Angeles has struggled the most with the homeless problem and approved the overnight placement of two portable toilets and hand-washing stations at the Rose Avenue beach parking lot in Venice Beach.

Nonprofit organization Safe Parking L.A. was also approved to operate overnight parking spaces for homeless people living in their vehicles at two county-owned buildings in Hollywood and North Hollywood. There are now five official sites of overnight parking spaces in L.A.
