Home Invasion Reported at Rapper's Calabasas Home

Early this morning a home-invasion took place in a Calabasas home belonging to rapper, French Montana.

The hip-hop artist, whose legal name is Karim Kharbouch, reported the invasion about 8:30 a.m, three hours after the crime took place. Authorities have said that there were at least two men who forced their way into the residence, stealing personal property from two men before exiting on foot.

There is currently no detailed description if the two thieves.

The Calabasas home on the 5100 block of Garrett Court is no stranger to home invasions. A neighbor, Kris Saucedo, states that the home was previously robbed when singer Selena Gomez lived there.

"That was the same thing," Saucedo added. "That was a guy that was on foot. ... Other than that, it's never had any problems. Only with celebrities do we have problems."

Investigators are reviewing surveillance video at the six-bedroom, 7,786-square-foot residence.

Anyone with information on the robbery was urged to contact Malibu/Lost Hills sheriff's detectives at (818) 878-1808. If you wish to remain anonymous, call L.A. Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
