Man in Suit Drags Half-Naked Man Off Transit Train in Los Angeles

Video of a man dragging an unconscious man off a train and leaving him half-naked on a Metro platform has prompted a police investigation and outrage on social media.

In the more than six-minute video circulating online, an unconscious man can be seen being dragged off a Metro Blue Line train at the Wardlow Metro Station in Long Beach by another man in a suit. According to the person recording the video, the unconscious man had just suffered a seizure.

"Will someone please hold the door," the man in the suit can be heard saying in the video, as he grabs two shopping bags and what appears to be a sweatshirt belonging to the unconscious man and tossing them out the door next to him.

The man on the platform is unresponsive and doesn't seem to know what's happening as his sweat pants fall off.

When the man in the suit returns to the train, the person recording the video has some choice words for him.

"Dude just had a seizure. This white boy is gonna drag him off the damn train so he don't miss his ride."

The camera rolls for several minutes while the train remains in the station and the unconscious man is still lying outside there. Eventually, the man in the suit tries explaining his thought process on dragging the man out of the train.

"There are a lot of people on this train that have to get home."

After several minutes of being shamed on video, the man in the suit gets back off the train to examine the unconscious man, even as the other person taking the video continues confronting him.

"Don't act like you give a f**k now, you're the one who dragged him off the train."

To which the man in the suit replies.

"I thought he might be drunk."

The man taking the video says:

"It don't matter what the f**k you thought. He had a f***ing seizure. You had no right to put your f***king hands on him."

Metro issued a statement about the now viral video, urging anyone who sees a fellow transit rider in distress to call 911 for help.

"Obviously, this is very disturbing and we never want to see this on our system. We're getting all the facts including reviewing the video from the train and the platform," the statement said, in part.

The Long Beach Police Department was also alerted and are reviewing the video to see if any crime took place.

Warning: The full YouTube video is located here, but it is filled with cursing and partial nudity.
