Southland Gas Prices Drop to Lowest Amounts Since April

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped four-tenths of a cent today to $3.623, its lowest amount since April 20.

The average price is 1.6 cents less than a week ago and 4.7 cents lower than one month ago but 62.1 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has risen 47.3 cents since the start of the year.

The average price has dropped five of the past six days, decreasing 1.7 cents. It was unchanged on Monday.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.559, its lowest amount since April 13. It is 2.1 cents less than one week ago and 5 cents lower than one month ago but 58 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price has risen 44.3 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price has dropped six consecutive days, decreasing 2.1 cents, including one-tenth of a cent on Monday.
