Now, this is definitely in the top 5 for a parent's worst nightmare. In Minnesota, a driver was shocked when he came upon a two-year-old child strapped to a car seat lying in the middle of the road. Video from the driver's dash cam showed the child left on the street in Mankato with low traffic, thank goodness.
ABC News reports that the man stood in the street waving his hands in an attempt to stop any oncoming vehicles. The driver eventually picked up the baby and pulled his car to the side of the road waiting for the parent to swing back around circling for their missing child.
According to the City of Mankato's Facebook page, police were dispatched to the scene at 11:45 a.m.
"The child was properly fastened inside the safety seat; however, the child safety seat was not fastened to the vehicle seat. Charges of child endangerment and child restraint system not fastened are being requested. "
