Kamala Harris Has Officially Kicked Off Her Campaign

It's official. California's Democratic Senator, Kamala Harris, has kicked of her 2020 presidential campaign with a rally in Oakland, according to Mercury News.

Harris is selling herself as a fighter who is ready take on President Trump and unite a divided country.

“We are at an inflection point in the history of our nation, We are here because the American Dream and our American democracy are under attack and on the line like never before" Sen. Harris preached at her Oakland rally.

Speaking at Oakland's City Hall, Harris laid out her progressive values to her supporters. But fear not, she made sure she threw comments against the Trump administration.

Harris' campaign team estimated that more than 20,000 people were in attendance at the rally. The Oakland Police Department confirmed the count and were forced to close traffic on surrounding streets because they were filled with attendees trying to get in.

This was Sen. Harris' time to properly introduce herself to the public. Many major cable networks carried the speech live. She explained how she was born in Oakland, is a daughter of immigrants from India and Jamaica, and got her first job as a prosecutor at the Alameda Country District Attorney's office.

I mean, no one else suspected she'd have her kickoff rally anywhere else, but supposedly this was a chance for Harris to highlight her personal story and stake her claim in California's resistance against Donald Trump.

She made it clear she's ready to take him down and is against everything he brings to the table.

But honestly, is she even going to get the Democratic nomination? Only time will tell.
