Well this is definitely not something we expected to read today.

Santa Ana police are reporting that the burglar who ran off with an elderly lemur from the Santa Ana Zoo last summer has finally been identified.

Everyone let out a sigh of relief. We can finally breathe.

19 year-old Quinn Kasbar allegedly stole Isaac. Unlucky for Kasbar, Issac is a 32 year-old lemur and is known as the oldest lemur in North America. People were not going to stop until his burglar was found.

Things keep getting worse for Kasbar because he's also know as the same man who's currently being charged with dozen of burglaries in his hometown, Newport Beach.

Over the last year, the only solid clue detectives had was a video from a Newport Beach hotel. This video showed a man in a hooded sweatshirt leaving a box outside the Marriott Bayview on July 31. Inside the box was Isaac and a note saying,“This belongs to the Santa Ana Zoo. It was taken last night. Please bring it to police.”

There wasn't much that could be done with that video, but due to Kasbar's confidence and apparent pride, investigators were able to receive more information that he was bragging to someone else that he once stole a lemur.

Lemurs are an endangered species which means that Issac's abduction would be a federal crime. According to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna, the police investigators are sharing the information with federal officials.

“Unfortunately for him he took an endangered animal and now he’s going to have to pay the price,” said Bertagna

We're just lucky he was caught. You can tell in his mugshot he really thought he never would be
