L.A. County Gas Prices Drop for 24rd Straight Day

ExxonMobile Posts Record Breaking Quarterly Profit

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 24th consecutive day today, falling one cent to $3.955 -- its lowest amount since April 10.

The average price has decreased 16.5 cents over the past 24 days, including six-tenths of a cent Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 4.8 cents less than one week ago and 17 cents lower than one month ago, but 19.4 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped six-tenths of a cent today to $3.926, also its lowest amount since April 10.

The Orange County average price is 4.5 cents less than one week ago and 17.6 cents lower than one month ago, but 20 cents higher than one year ago.
