A Hit-And-Run Driver Is Wanted in the Death of Holocaust Survivor

Last week, 91-year-old Holocaust survivor Gennady Bolotsky was struck by a pickup truck at 5:35 a.m. while he was walking his dog in the San Fernando Valley. Bolotsky was taken to the hospital where he died soon after. The driver did not stop or identify themselves, making this a hit-and-run.

Bolotsky's granddaughter, Erica states, "(The driver) ran over him and stopped and then just made the decision to keep driving".

Another one of his granddaughters says, "Escaped Nazi occupation, everything was (against him) and this is how he went. None of us can put these pieces together".

Now, the Los Angeles Daily News reports that the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors is offering a reward of $10,000 for any information that could lead to the arrest of the driver of the pickup truck.

If anyone has information, contact Valley Traffic Division Officer Fredo at 818-644-8029 or Officer Reyes at 818-644-8032.
