Less Than 120 SCE Customers in Valencia Without Power, Down From 1,400

VALENCIA (CNS) - Southern California Edison crews this morning reduced the number of customers in Valencia affected by a power outage from more than 1,400 to just 117 and full restoration was estimated by 6 a.m.

The outage was reported just before 7 p.m. Monday, according to SCE spokesman Paul Netter. Crews were able to get power restored to more than 1,300 customers as of 1:20 a.m.

The affected area was bounded by Rye Canyon Loop to the north and west, Riverside Lane to the south and Decoro Drive to the east, Netter said.

Equipment problems were listed as the cause of the outage.
