USC to Host Virtual Career Fair for Students, Alumni

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - USC will host the latest in a series of virtual career fairs for students and alumni today.

The virtual job fair will feature more than 60 U.S.-based employers between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and more than 30 Asia Pacific companies from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Among those set to participate include the FBI, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Live Nation, United Airlines and The Archer School for Girls.

Students and recent alumni were advised to visit careers.usc.edu/virtualcareerfair to create an account and upload their resumes before the job fair, in which they can chat one-on-one online with prospective employers.

“For people that really love the in-person fair, the virtual fair is set up similarly. You can see all of the booths, choose which ones to visit and see what positions they're hiring for,” Dakota Serafin, adviser at the USC Career Center, said in a statement released by the university. “But in real life, you can physically be in only one line at a time, whereas in this platform you're able to wait in multiple lines at the same time.”

The university has been holding virtual job fairs since 2016.
