The 2020 TWICE A CITIZEN VIRTUAL TRIBUTE, Saturday, August 29th - 7:00pm
The Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation (LAPRF) annually presents the Twice a Citizen Awards, to recognize and honor LAPD Reserve Officers who continue to ”build a bridge with the community.” The event also provides critical funding for reserve officer recruitment, training, uniforms, college scholarships and our Memorial Fund. Your support during this unusual year is even more important than previous times.
While COVID restrictions may have forced the postponement of this year’s traditional Twice a Citizen Awards "in person",we will still hold the event – Virtually!
HOSTS
Our hosts - Amy Aquino (BOSCH) and Tim Conway Jr., (KFI 640) along with LAPD Chief Michel Moore, joined by other special guests, will host a short online celebration via ZOOM on August 29, 2020 beginning at 7:00 p.m. It is so important to us that we salute these officers who work side by side with their LAPD partners - doing the same job to protect and serve - without being paid!
Our Reserve Program has an extraordinary 72-year story and is considered the gold standard for reserve law enforcement nationwide. This will be a short program saluting the Reserve of the Year for each division - and we will announce the Bureau Winners that evening. These reserve officers deserve our gratitude.
