No One at Woodland Hills Apartment After Reported Shooting at Trump Caravan

Police have come up empty in their search for three suspects who were supposedly barricaded inside a Woodland Hills apartment following a report of shots being fired at a caravan of Trump supporters traveling along Ventura Boulevard Sunday.

The alleged shooting occurred at around 11:30 a.m. while a caravan of Trump supporters were driving down Ventura Boulevard near the Chalk Hills Court building. The caravan was headed to Studio City from Woodland Hills.

No injuries were reported.

It's uncertain whether a weapon was actually fired at the caravan or if the reports were based solely on witness accounts. Police say a woman participating in the caravan heard what sounded like gunshots and noticed her tire was flat. She inspected the tire and told police it appeared to have been damaged by a projectile of some kind.

A SWAT team responded to an apartment building where police believed three suspects had barricaded themselves inside. However, when SWAT officers entered one of the apartments, there was no one inside.

The investigation is on-going, a statement from the LAPD said.
