L.A. County Average Gas Price Rises To Highest Amount Since March 24

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent today to $3.226, its highest amount since March 24.

The average price is 1.6 cents more than a week ago and 4.7 cents higher than one month ago but 42.4 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 38.9 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped a half-cent to $3.20 after increasing five of the previous six days to its highest amount since March 23.

The Orange County average price is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago and 3.4 cents higher than one month ago but 42.6 cents less than one year ago. It has decreased 34.5 cents since the start of the year.
