Florida Man Files False Murder Report to Get a Ride Home from Cops

A Florida man has been accused of calling in a fake murder report from a local McDonalds just so he could get a ride home.

Jermaine Williams, reportedly told a 911 dispatcher he'd found a dead body inside a McDonalds before suddenly hanging up.

When several officers and sheriff's deputies arrived, they found Williams sitting on a curb, waiting for them.

They asked him if he needed any medical attention, but Williams said no and that all he wanted was a ride back home.

In a post on the station's website, officers say William's plan worked...sort of.

"Yeah, he got a ride this morning all right ... to the luxurious accommodations at the Polk County Jail."

Williams has since been charged with misusing the 911 emergency system.
