Average L.A. County Gas Price Unchanged For Second Consecutive Day

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged today for the second consecutive day, remaining at $3.143.

The average price is eight-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 3.6 cents lower than one month ago and 77.2 cents cheaper than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 47.2 cents since the start of the year.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $3.111, its lowest amount since July 15, after rising one-tenth of a cent for two consecutive days. It is six-tenths of a cent less than one week ago, 3.2 cents lower than one month ago and 74.5 cents cheaper than one year ago. The Orange County average price has decreased 43.4 cents since the start of the year.
