Average Los Angeles County Gas Price Rises Slightly

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose three-tenths of a cent today to $3.155 one day after remaining unchanged.  

The average price is 1.2 cents more than one week ago but 1.5 cents less than one month ago and 70.3 cents lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has decreased 46 cents since the start of the year.  

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.13 after five consecutive increases totaling 2 cents, including two-tenths of a cent on Saturday. It is 1.6 cents more than one week ago but one-tenth of a cent less than one month ago and 65.9 cents lower than one year ago. The Orange County average price has decreased 41.5 cents since the start of the year.
