Average L.A. County Gas Price Rises For 14th Time in 15 Days

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose today for the ninth consecutive day and 14th of the past 15, increasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.288, its highest amount since March 21.

The average price has risen 7.6 cents over the past 15 days, including six-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 5.1 cents more than one week ago and 13.3 cents higher than one month ago but 31.6 cents less than one year ago.

The Orange County average price rose for the sixth consecutive day to its highest amount since March 20, increasing one-tenth of a cent to $3.268. It has risen 5 cents over the past six days, including a half-cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 4.6 cents more than one week ago and 13.9 cents higher than a month ago but 28.5 cents less than one year ago.
