Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on 14 Freeway in Acton

ACTON (CNS) - A 43-year-old man was killed when he was thrown from his motorcycle after striking a metal guardrail on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Acton, authorities said this morning.

The crash was reported about 7:35 p.m. Tuesday south of Santiago Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim was traveling in the No. 1 lane when, for reasons still under investigation, he veered to the left and crashed into the guardrail, was thrown from his Honda 1800 and sustained fatal injuries, the CHP said.

The name of the victim was not disclosed. He was from Lancaster.

There have been 11 fatal accidents so far this year in the Antelope Valley CHP's jurisdiction, the agency said.
