ROSEMEAD (CNS) - A man who led California Highway Patrol officers on a pursuit was critically injured today in a crash on the Walnut Grove Avenue off-ramp of the San Bernardino (10) Freeway in Rosemead.
At 12:13 a.m., officers observed a speeding Dodge Charger traveling westbound on the 10 and gave chase, with speeds reaching up to 125 mph, according to the CHP.
It was unclear where the pursuit began and whether it remained on the freeway the entire time.
The crash occurred about 12:50 a.m. and paramedics took the unidentified man to a hospital in critical condition.
The CHP issued a SigAlert, shutting down the on- and off-ramp at Walnut Grove Avenue until about 5:45 a.m.
