Man Wearing Security Guard Uniform Found Dead at Malibu Market

MALIBU (CNS) - A man wearing a security guard uniform was found dead today in a parking lot at a country market in Malibu.

Deputies went to the 30000 block of Pacific Coast Highway about 7 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Sheriff's officials said the victim was apparently assaulted overnight in the parking lot of the Trancas Canyon Nursery.

The nursery is one of the businesses housed at the Trancas Country Market complex.

Sheriff's officials told reporters at the scene the body was discovered by a market employee, and the body was in a parking lot with blood on the ground around him. The man has not been identified, but he was described only as being in his 50s and wearing a security guard uniform.
