LOS ANGELES (CNS) - Fox 11 anchor and reporter Susan Hirasuna was the victim of a car theft after she parked her Tesla near the United Theater on Broadway in downtown Los Angeles for a concert Thursday night, the station reported Friday.

After the concert, Hirasuna discovered her car had been stolen, according to Fox11.

Before she had a chance to file a police report, patrol officers attempted to stop the vehicle for reckless driving.

According to Fox 11, using her Tesla app, Hirasuna could see where the suspect was going. Officers followed the car until it ran out of battery power in East Hollywood, and the suspect was arrested.

Information was not immediately available Friday morning from the LAPD regarding the suspect or the investigation.

Investigators discovered that the suspect in the car may have been connected to an assault on Skid Row on Wall and East 5th Street, in which a person was struck with an ax.

Officers also found blood on the inside of the passenger door, and the vehicle was impounded for prints.

Authorities said the victim in that incident was treated for non-life- threatening injuries.
