POMONA (CNS) - A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday by a vehicle in Pomona, authorities said.
Officers were called to Towne and Bonita avenues around 5:40 a.m. Friday, according to the Pomona Police Department.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived at the scene and took the man to a hospital, where he later died.
"The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation," police said in a statement. "The driver was not intoxicated."
The Pomona Police Department Major Accident Investigation Team was conducting an investigation.
