Deaf Driver hits woman during Comic-Con 'zombie walk'

A woman suffered a serious arm injury this weekend at Comic-Con when a car blasted through a crowd on the street that was celebrating Zombie Walk.

The car waited for several minutes at the intersection but could not go through because people, some in zombie makeup had gathered in it.

People starting knocking on the car windows, climbing on the car and shouting at those inside, which included two small children.

When the children became scared, the driver lurched forward and hit a woman who suffered a broken arm, then drove through the crowd and down the street.

People in the crowd started chasing the car and when the driver saw a police officer following him, he pulled over.

The family in the car, including two children, are all completely deaf.

Officer David Stafford said,“The family was scared so the father drove forward again trying to get away from the angry crowd,” Stafford said.
