As seen last week on National TV with the world’s largest Potato, The Giant Fork is out to break food drive records again. Organizers brought in over 5 tons of non-perishable food items last year to help Union Station Homeless Services feed over 5,000 people on Thanksgiving Day. The Giant Spud weighed over 6 tons and we need our food collection to at least outweigh that Spud Missile.
Simply drive by slowly and drop off non-perishable food items to volunteers wearing bright orange shirts with outreach bags on either Saturday November 10 or Sunday, November 11 from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. You don’t even have to get out of your cars!
This food drive will benefit Union Station Homeless Services, San Gabriel Valley’s largest and most comprehensive homeless service organization. Again, they will be feeding over 5,000 people in Pasadena’s Central Park on Thanksgiving Day. For information on Union Station Homeless Services, visit www.unionstationhs.org.
