Anaheim (CNS) - A multi-agency anti-gang investigation in the Anaheim area dubbed ``Operation Halo’’ has resulted in the arrest of 15 people on federal charges and 29 people on state charges, authorities said today.

The yearlong investigation targeted career criminals and street gang members, Christian Hoffman of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Most of those arrested are documented gang members.

During the operation, authorities seized about 40 firearms -- including sawed-off shotguns and assault-type weapons -- and about 11 pounds of crystal methamphetamine.

One firearm -- a pistol -- was bought "in an undercover capacity'' and is suspected of having been used in a homicide in Anaheim, an official said.
