An argument brewing over the last beer turned bloody when a Tennessee father ended the squabble by plunging a kitchen knife into his son’s leg twice, police said.

The beer battle occurred Friday night in Timothy Crabtree’s Rogersville home, where he was kicking back with his 21-year-old son, Brandon, according to the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office.

But when it was time to break open the last beer, the father and son apparently decided it was something neither wanted to share.

The bickering became physical when the younger Crabtree allegedly pushed his 45-year-old father onto the ground and “started assaulting him,” authorities said, according to the Kingsport Times News.
