San Jose-bound passenger goes nude at Portland airport to protest screening

A Portland man who was heading to Silicon Valley says he stripped naked at a TSA security checkpoint at Portland International Airport because a patdown by agents had already stripped him of his dignity.

John E. Brennan, 49, who was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and disorderly conduct, said he also wanted to prove that even though he had tested positive for nitrates on his clothing he wasn't carrying any explosives.

"They are just doing their job and as citizen of the U.S. I'm doing my job to protect my Constitutional rights to privacy," Brennan, a Pacific Grove native, said in a telephone interview with this newspaper.
