Muslim and Coptic Christian leaders are joining forces to speak out against an anti-Islam film and the violence that it triggered across the Middle East.

"The Innocence of Muslims," which screened in Hollywood and was made in Southern California, has angered Muslims because of its negative depictions of the prophet Muhammad.

The man believed to be responsible for the film, Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, 55, is a Coptic Christian from Egypt who currently lives in Cerritos, a suburb of Los Angeles.

However, local Muslim and Coptic leaders are denouncing Nakoula's film.
