He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday.
Lewis is accused of offering to furnish drugs to an undercover officer who allegedly contacted him on a dating site.
Authorities say they found methamphetamine, ecstasy, the date-rape drug GHB and scales and plastic bags during a subsequent search of Lewis's
Lewis has been placed on unpaid administrative leave.
California Department of Justice spokeswoman Michelle Gregory says there is no evidence Lewis's drug activity involved the school.
