A 15-year-old Chula Vista boy playing a game to make himself pass out died Tuesday night in a freak accident after he fell onto a glass that broke and sliced his neck, police said.
The county Medical Examiner's Office identified him as David Nuno of Chula Vista.
Officers were called to the home on Old Janel Ranch Road off Lake Crest Drive just after 7 p.m. where they found the boy bleeding profusely, police Capt. Gary Wedge said.
The teen had been in an upstairs bedroom with a couple of friends watching a video that demonstrates how to make yourself lose consciousness, Wedge said.
