"Cro" has the distinction of being at KFI longer than anybody else with the exception of the legendary Mike Nolan... not sure if that should be a point of pride, but there you go. Michael started as a board operator for tons of shows, including the L.A. Raiders(yes, they were on KFI), Marilyn Kagan and Phil Hendrie, where he ended up writing for many of Phil's "guests". Michael also performed and co-wrote many of the skits and parody songs played during the Bill Handel Morning Show. He was eventually thrown into the newsroom as an anchor, where he works the much envied weekend shift. His versatility (lack of social life) allows him to fill virtually any time slot on the station. That's why you might hear him any time of the day or night... or weekend... or overnight... or Christmas Day... or New Years Eve. You get the picture.

DMV issues "NOT SEE" license plate to man who turned out to be a Nazi http://t.co/JlIFPQ5B9E— Gawker (@Gawker) November 14, 2013
San Diego, California station KGTV 10 News received a photo from a viewer that sparked public outrage. The photo shows a California personalized license plate that reads "NOT SEE."
At first glance, its meaning is unclear. But when you widen the shot, the swastika symbol that the driver placed above the license gives context that the driver’s intended message was “Nazi,” and one of hate.

My friend and coworker Mo Kelly recently posted this article about tweets sent by Will Smith's son talking about how education is not important... Read on.
Jaden Smith, the son of Will and Jada is back in the news, opining on the inherent lack of value of school and education. It is true, times change. Whereas change is inevitable, the caveat is that progress is optional.
With the continued proliferation of social media and simultaneous diminishing of parental discipline, we have more and more public examples of pretentious children with entitlement issues.

Man, this must be a crushing blow to her self esteem. If you already need this sort of encouragement so much that you tattoo it onto your torso, imagine the backlash when that Hallmark junk is spelled wrong.

The song of the summer last year was Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". An argument could be made for "Gangnam Style" but that came more towards the end of the summer. Regardless, I called it last year and I'm calling Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" as the early fave for this year's biggest summer hit. Daft Punk's latest album(CD) release is a pretty damn good homage to 70's era funk and overall groovy music. This is not Daft Punk's version, but a cover done by George Barnett. I don't know this guy and I've never heard of this guy, but I hope this is a springboard to bigger stuff for him. I love how he's really feelin what he's doing. This reminds me of a recent speech I saw Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters give about him learning how to multi-track as a kid growing up in Springfield, Virginia. BTW, as an aside, Dave and I are the same age and I spent a pretty good portion of my early years in Springfield with my Dad as he was in a band of his own...so Dave and I are pretty connected...unless we're not.
Anyway, enjoy this infectious, awesome version of an already awesome song!
