Man kicked off plane for battle over $12 blanket

A flight from Vegas to Hawaii had to stop at LAX yesterday because an old man was pissed off about the overpriced blankets on the plane.

The 66-year-old asked for a blanket and was told it would cost $12.

He then argued that he shouldn't have to pay for the blanket because it was so cold, and asked for the number to Hawaiian corporate headquarters to complain.

According to police, he said:

“I’d like to take someone behind the wood shed for this.”

There was no physical altercation, and nobody was taken behind the shed for a womping.

Instead the plane landed at LAX and the man was escorted off the plane.

Passenger Eileen Bergstrom said:

“I thought it was ridiculous.  First of all, it costs $12,000 for them to land here, and it’s a $12 blanket.”

Yeah!  If this guy can afford a trip to Hawaii, he can afford a $12 blanket.  But we also understand where this guy's coming from.  Flying continues to suck even more these days, and a $12 blanket is the cherry on that top of the crap sundae.

Police eventually determined the old guy wasn't a threat and they released him without charges.  He was able to fly to Hawaii on a different plane.

Mahalo, everyone.
