San Bernardino is seeing some benefits to climate change - that is to say, the battle against it. More than $9 billion has been flowed into the Inland Empire economy as a new study from think tank Next 10 reveals. Over the last seven years, changes in climate policy have helped to bring money and jobs to the area that has been suffering since the Great Recession took a toll in 2008.

The report shows nearly 41,000 new jobs have been created by initiatives like cap-and-trade, renewable energy, as well as solar programs. Next 10 says their study is the first one to look at the economic implications to the Inland economy.
