Trump Admin Wants Faster Deportations

Immigration judges have been notified by the Justice Department that their job performance will be evaluated by how quickly they close open cases.  This is an effort being enforced to catch up on case backlogs and speed up deportation decisions. 

“This is a recipe for disaster,” said A. Ashley Tabaddor, an immigration judge in Los Angeles who is president of the National Association of Immigration Judges. “You are going to, at minimum, impact the perception of the integrity of the court.”
