Several people have been taken to the hospital after eight big rigs slammed into each other on the 60 Freeway near Chino this morning.
The chain-reaction crash happened on the eastbound side of the highway near Central Ave. Only one lane was left open for traffic, authorities said.
Chino Valley Fire tweeted they were on the scene of the accident.
CVFD is on scene of a chain-reaction traffic collision involving 8 big rigs on E/B Highway 60 at Central Avenue. CVFD evaluated & treated 4 patients. One patient transported with minor injuries. Traffic is reduced to one lane on Eastbound Highway 60. Expect extended delays.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown. Those who were injured are expected to survive.
