Officer Injured Breaking Up Fight in Pomona; Three Arrested

POMONA (CNS) - An officer was injured early today while detaining people involved in a drunken fight in Pomona, police said. Several calls were made to Pomona police around 2:10 a.m. reporting a large fight in the middle of the 300 block of South Thomas Street, and when officers arrived they found several people arguing or fleeing the area.

``Officers detained several people who were involved in the argument, but all parties were uncooperative,'' Pomona police Sgt. Brian Hagerty said. 

``Officers did make three arrests for drunk in public ... (and) one officer was injured during one of the arrests.''The injured officer was treated at a hospital and released, the sergeant said. 

The names of those arrested were not released, nor were details about the officer's injury.
