Average L.A. County Gas Price Drops for 29th Straight Day

U.S. Gas Prices Soar To Record National Average

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped for the 29th consecutive day today, decreasing 1 cent to $3.907, its lowest amount since April 9.

The average price has decreased 21.3 cents over the past 29 days, including 1.2 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 6.4 cents less than one week ago and 21.3 cents lower than one month ago, but 14.8 cents higher than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 28th time in the past 29 days, decreasing 1.2 cents to $3.877, its lowest amount since April 9. It has decreased 21.9 cents over the past 29 days, including 1.1 cents on Tuesday.

The Orange County average price is 6.5 cents less than one week ago and 22 cents lower than one month ago, but 16.1 cents higher than one year ago.
