Derek Chauvin Found Guilty on All 3 Counts

A jury in Minneapolis has found ex police officer Derek Chauvin guilty on all three counts in the death of George Floyd. Chauvin was found guilty of second- and third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Judge Peter Cahill revoked bail and told Chauvin to report back in eight weeks for sentencing. Chauvin was handcuffed and quietly taken into custody after the guilty verdicts were read.

He faces 12 ½ years in prison under sentencing guidelines for a first-time offender, but the prosecution argues there are factors that may require a longer prison term.
