Average LA County Gas Price Rises Two-Tenths of a Cent

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose two-tenths of a cent today to $4.040, its 15th increase in the last 17 days.

The average price is the highest it's been since Nov. 14, 2019, and is 2.2 cents more than one week ago, 10.3 cents higher than one month ago and $1.192 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The average price also rose six-tenths of a cent on Sunday.

The Orange County average price dipped one-tenth of a cent to $4.008, two days after surpassing the $4 mark for the first time since Nov. 13, 2019. It is 2.3 cents more than one week ago, 8.8 cents higher than one month ago and $1.191 greater than one year ago.
